Prabowo to Host Halalbihalal Idul Fitri at the Palace This Afternoon, Open to the Public
JAKARTA - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto will open the Presidential Palace in Jakarta to the general public for the halalbihalal event on the occasion of Idul Fitri 1447 Hijriah. The public is invited to attend the halalbihalal activities and exchange greetings with President Prabowo at the Palace in Jakarta on Saturday (21/3/2026) afternoon. Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that Prabowo will return directly to Jakarta after performing Idul Fitri prayers in Aceh Province. “After that (from Aceh), the President will go to Jakarta. Then, possibly at the palace, in the afternoon we are preparing the halalbihalal, greetings, for all members of the public who wish to visit,” said Teddy in his statement. The Palace will also implement a staggered visitation scheme to ensure public comfort. It is estimated that the number of attendees could reach around 5,000 people, with arrangements for areas inside and outside the Palace to accommodate public enthusiasm. “Yes, possibly five thousand, like last year. Of course, we will prepare inside, and if it doesn’t fit, outside has also been prepared by the Minister Secretary of State with tents, and then they will enter in turns,” he explained. In addition, according to him, the Palace will also provide some entertainment, especially for child visitors. “There will be lunch, greetings, ketupat and so on. The Palace is open to the public, from afternoon until evening. Like last year, the palace is opened to the people, various kinds of food will be prepared and a little entertainment for young children, something like that,” he added. Previously, Prabowo attended the takbiran night event in Medan, North Sumatra, and performed Idul Fitri prayers in Aceh.
