Prabowo to Hold Cabinet Meeting This Afternoon, Discussing Preparations for Eid al-Fitr 2026

President Prabowo Subianto will hold a cabinet meeting at the Presidential Palace on Friday, 13 March 2026. One of the main topics of discussion during the cabinet meeting will be preparations for Eid al-Fitr 2026.

“Yes, that’s correct. So today there will be a Cabinet Meeting regarding Eid readiness at 16:00 WIB,” Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya told journalists on Friday, 13 March 2026.

In addition, President Prabowo and the ministers of the Red and White Cabinet are also scheduled to make zakat mal (wealth tax) and zakat fitrah (alms) payments.

“It will begin with a zakat mal and zakat fitrah payment ceremony from cabinet members to the National Zakat Board at the State Palace, at approximately 15:00 WIB,” he said.

For context, President Prabowo has previously called on his officials to discuss preparations for welcoming Eid al-Fitr 1447 H. One of the priorities is the readiness of gas and petroleum fuel (BBM). This week, he called in Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan, and Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa.
