Prabowo to Hold Cabinet Meeting at Palace This Afternoon

Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto will convene a cabinet meeting at the Jakarta Presidential Palace on Friday (13 March 2026).

“Yes, that is correct. A cabinet meeting regarding Eid preparations will be held today at 4:00 PM Western Indonesian Time,” said Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya to Kompas.com on Friday.

He disclosed that the meeting will, among other matters, discuss preparations for Eid al-Fitr celebration 1447 H/2026 M.

Prior to the cabinet meeting, the Head of State will also undertake zakat mal (wealth tax) and zakat fitrah (obligatory alms) payments.

“Beginning with the zakat mal and zakat fitrah payment ceremony from cabinet members to the National Zakat Board at the State Palace, scheduled for approximately 3:00 PM Western Indonesian Time,” elaborated Teddy.

For context, President Prabowo had previously summoned his officials to discuss preparations for the Eid al-Fitr 1447 H celebration. This week, he has called in Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan, and Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa.
