Prabowo to Hold 'Affordable Market for the People' This Afternoon: Free Groceries, Concert, and Door Prizes
To mark the atmosphere of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah, President Prabowo Subianto has instructed the Cabinet Secretariat to organise a major event titled ‘Affordable Market for the People’. This event, which combines a bazaar, affordable market, and public entertainment, will be centred in the area around the National Monument (Monas) on Saturday (28/3) afternoon.
‘Still in the spirit of Eid al-Fitr, on the instructions of President Prabowo, this afternoon at the grounds of the National Monument (Monas), the Palace will once again welcome residents through a bazaar, affordable market, door prizes, and public entertainment for Jakarta residents,’ reads the official post from the Cabinet Secretariat’s Instagram account.
The organisation of this event is specifically aimed at residents who did not go back to their hometowns for Eid, as well as those who have returned to Jakarta after the Lebaran holiday. The main focus of the activity is to reach beneficiary families so they can experience the joy of Eid al-Fitr in the heart of the capital.
The President’s decision to hold this event is said to stem from the high enthusiasm of the public during the Lebaran celebration at the Palace last week. President Prabowo wants as many people as possible to share in the happiness in a warm and communal atmosphere.
Based on information from the Cabinet Secretariat, the ‘Affordable Market for the People’ will take place from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM WIB. Here are the details of the facilities prepared for the public:
Not only regarding food, the event also provides various attractive prizes through a raffle or door prize system. The prizes prepared are quite fantastic, including 1,000 bicycles and 100 electric motorbikes as a form of appreciation for visitors.
To add to the merriment, a public entertainment stage will feature performances by renowned music groups Wali and D’Bagindaz. In addition, there are various children’s play rides so that all family members can enjoy the communal atmosphere in the Monas area.
