Prabowo to Gather Regional Heads in Jakarta to Discuss 'Indonesia ASRI' Programme

President Prabowo Subianto will gather regional heads in Jakarta to discuss the Indonesia Aman, Sehat, Resik, dan Indah (ASRI) programme — Safe, Healthy, Clean and Beautiful.

“There will be a special meeting for governors; I will gather all regents in Jakarta. I don’t know exactly when. It will specifically discuss Indonesia ASRI — Aman, Sehat, Resik, dan Indah,” Prabowo said in Batang, Central Java, on Thursday (30 July).

Prabowo said the programme is highly important for Indonesia’s progress going forward.

He declared his intention to transform the nation.

“That means we need plenty of downstream industries, many factories, many processing breakthroughs. We need food security, food resilience; self-sufficiency, which we have achieved, must be safeguarded,” he said.

Prabowo noted that today’s world is full of uncertainty, adding that Indonesia must secure its energy reserves.

He also called on all parties to protect the environment amid unpredictable weather and global warming, including efforts to control waste.

“God willing, within one or two years we will make drastic changes. We will control waste; by the end of 2027, I ask that Indonesia’s waste problem be resolved,” he said.

On Thursday (30 July), Prabowo made a working visit to Central Java.

The visit began with the inauguration of the first phase of renovations to the heritage building of Semarang Tawang Station.

After the inauguration, Prabowo tried out the Nusantara Explorer train from Semarang Tawang Station to Batang.

In Batang, Prabowo inaugurated a mass signing ceremony for 62,000 subsidised mortgage (KPR Subsidi) houses, held at 165 locations across 372 regencies and cities in 36 provinces, with the main event centred in Batang.
