Prabowo to Deploy Advanced Technology to Locate Corrupt Officials' Underground Bunkers

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto will use advanced technology to locate the wealth assets of corrupt individuals hidden in underground bunkers. Prabowo said the technology today is very advanced. ‘I am sad when there are officials who still attempt corruption; it will be quickly exposed. Now there is technology, there is radar we can use; we can look underground, so the person who has bunkers hidden will be found and we will recover your wealth,’ Prabowo said at the House of Representatives Building, Jakarta, on Wednesday (20 May 2026). Prabowo said he will prepare similar technology to track bunkers belonging to corrupt individuals. ‘I will use the most advanced technology; defence technology can search for weapons depots underground; radar can now detect mines; we will use it to search for bunkers around you,’ he said. ‘Those who own large plantations think there won’t be anyone to check; now there are satellites; no need for physical checks, we can take photos, every tree we can photograph, so however you cheat we will uncover your fraud,’ he added.
