Prabowo to Chase Corrupt Officials' Wealth Even to Bunkers

President Prabowo Subianto says he will pursue the wealth of corrupt officials hidden even in bunkers, claiming that technology and radar can detect underground bunkers. He told lawmakers at the 19th plenary session of the DPR RI on Wednesday (20 May) that there is technology and radar capable of seeing underground bunkers, and that those who have hidden bunkers will have their wealth found. ‘I am sad that now officials still try to corrupt; it will be quickly detected, now there is technology, there is radar, we can use it, we can see underground,’ Prabowo said. He reminded officials that current technology is advanced and that deviant actions will be quickly uncovered. ‘I will use the most advanced technology; defence technology can search for weapons warehouses underground, radar can now detect mines, we will use it to look for bunkers around you,’ he added. In the occasion, he expressed concern about elements within the TNI and Polri who often shield corrupt officials. ‘But usually those people have protectors; their protectors are usually their uniforms, whether green or brown, right? I as a senior and as an alumnus do not hesitate to say, do not smear the TNI and Polri,’ he said.
