JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto claimed that his government has successfully navigated through dangerous challenges over the past one year and six months.

“Alhamdulillah, we have been able to control the direction of development, the direction of our nation’s state. We have navigated through dangerous matters,” said Prabowo during his briefing to members of the Merah Putih Cabinet at the State Palace on Wednesday (8/4/2026).

He added that in his first year of government, several milestones of real achievements have been attained.

According to Prabowo, these accomplishments were achieved amid global conditions filled with uncertainty, conflict, and wars that have triggered shocks to world stability.

He emphasised that these achievements are evident from various tangible accomplishments that can be measured, both mathematically and through physical results on the ground.

Previously reported, President Prabowo Subianto was scheduled to gather ministers, deputy ministers, and heads of institutions/agencies at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday (8/4/2026) afternoon.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that the meeting agenda would begin at 14.00 WIB.

Separately, Head of the Government Communication Agency Angga Raka Prabowo stated that the Head of State would also gather echelon I officials from the ministries in the Merah Putih Cabinet.

He explained that Prabowo felt it important to provide several directives to his subordinates up to echelon I.

“The President feels it is important to convey directly to all echelon one because we are all a unity. In a ministry, there is a minister, supported by echelon one and the ranks below them,” said Angga.

“The President will certainly deliver briefings on strategic matters, about government policies, state administration, updates on the current situation. Certainly, strategic matters will be conveyed by the President. So, we will wait after the event,” said Angga.
