Prabowo to be First President to Present Macroeconomic Framework and Fiscal Policy Outlines to House of Representatives
The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR RI), Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, announced that President Prabowo Subianto will be the first Indonesian President to personally present the Macroeconomic Framework and Fiscal Policy Outlines (KEM-PPKF) during a DPR RI Plenary Session. President Prabowo is scheduled to attend the session at the parliamentary complex in Jakarta on Wednesday.
“I have just checked, and this might be the first time,” Dasco stated at the parliamentary complex in Jakarta on Tuesday. He noted that, in principle, previous ministers had delivered speeches regarding the KEM-PPKS representing the President. Therefore, it is entirely permissible for the President to present these outlines directly, as they serve as the introduction for the preparation of the 2027 State Budget (APBN).
The Plenary Session is planned to be held at the Nusantara Building, also known as the ‘turtle building’. DPR RI staff are currently preparing for the proceedings. The official agenda for the upcoming session includes:
