Prabowo to Award Danantara Chief with State Honour, Here's Why

President Prabowo Subianto has revealed that he will award the management of the Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) for successfully increasing dividends and profits of state-owned enterprises (BUMN).

He made the announcement during his State Address at the Annual Session and Joint Session of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) on Friday (14/8/2026).

“This proves that with common-sense management, with no intention to deceive, our success can come very quickly. Once again, I appreciate the management and leadership of Danantara. I think it is fitting that the Danantara leadership will later receive a state honour in this independence season,” Prabowo said.

Prabowo even asked the assembly during the session whether the Danantara executives deserved the honour.

“Does the assembly agree? Do they (Danantara) deserve to receive a state honour? Is it fitting that the profits of state-owned enterprises are now being used to accelerate our downstreaming efforts?” Prabowo asked the audience in the session.

“Agreed,” the audience replied.
