Prabowo to Attend Ryamizard's Wake at Defence Ministry This Morning

JAKARTA – President Prabowo Subianto will attend the wake of former Defence Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu at the Ministry of Defence (Kemhan) headquarters in Central Jakarta on Monday morning (1 June 2026). This was confirmed by State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, who stated that the Head of State would visit the Defence Ministry shortly before attending the Pancasila Day commemoration ceremony at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu) building in Central Jakarta. ‘Insha’Allah, that is the plan,’ Prasetyo told reporters on Monday. Head of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) Yudian Wahyudi previously stated that the Pancasila Day commemoration would carry the theme ‘Pancasila: Unifier of the Nation, Foundation of World Peace’. ‘The President of the Republic of Indonesia will attend in person and act as the ceremony’s inspector. The event will take place at the Pancasila Building Field, Jalan Taman Pejambon, Jakarta,’ Yudian said during a press conference at the BPIP office in Jakarta on Friday (29 May 2026). His remains will be interred at the National Heroes Cemetery (TMP) Kalibata in Jakarta on Monday (1 June 2026). Before being laid to rest at TMP Kalibata, the former Defence Minister’s body will be laid in state at the Ministry of Defence (Kemhan).
