National Awakening Party (PKB) Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) has revealed that President Prabowo Subianto will attend the peak celebration of the PKB’s 28th anniversary. The President is also scheduled to deliver a speech at the event. “Yes, I met the President earlier, God willing, the President will attend tomorrow,” Cak Imin said after the inauguration of PKB branch officials throughout Indonesia in Kota Tua, West Jakarta, on Wednesday evening. Cak Imin confirmed that Prabowo will deliver a keynote address. The peak celebration is planned for Thursday at the Jakarta Convention Centre (JCC), Senayan, Central Jakarta. “Yes, definitely (a speech),” he stated. Earlier, PKB held the inauguration of its Branch Leadership Council (DPC) officials from across Indonesia on Wednesday evening. The event was also attended directly by Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung. The activity took place at Taman Fatahillah, in the Kota Tua area of Pinangsia, Taman Sari, West Jakarta. PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar was seen wearing traditional Balinese attire alongside his wife, Rustini Murtadho. Governor Pramono Anung, accompanied by his wife Endang Nugrahani, was also present. Pramono was seen chatting casually with Cak Imin about the ease of access to Kota Tua, which can be reached using various modes of public transport. The series of events began with a parade of all branch officials grouped by their respective provinces. Participants uniformly wore traditional clothing from their home regions. The event continued with a video mapping presentation on PKB’s journey of service and the singing of the national anthem, Indonesia Raya. In his remarks, Pramono reflected on Cak Imin’s track record on the national political stage. He assessed that Cak Imin’s leadership has been tested and has made significant contributions. “The achievements of PKB and the leadership of Muhaimin Iskandar have been thoroughly proven,” Pramono said. The mass inauguration involved officials from 514 DPCs across Indonesia, with a total of 19,675 personnel being sworn in.
