Prabowo to Attend National Cooperative Day Summit in Senayan This Afternoon

President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to deliver remarks at the peak event of the 79th National Cooperative Day (Harkopnas) today, Sunday, 12 July 2026. The event is being held at the Indonesia Arena, Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) complex, Jakarta. Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono explained that this year’s commemoration marks the beginning of a cooperative movement as the ‘Red and White’ village/sub-district cooperatives, known as KDKMP, enter the operational phase. Ferry stated that President Prabowo’s presence also serves to affirm the government’s commitment to strengthening the cooperative movement as a pillar of national economic development. ‘On 12 July, God willing, the President will attend to commemorate National Cooperative Day at GBK,’ Ferry said on Friday, 10 July 2026, as reported by Antara. The Red and White village cooperative project is one of the government’s strategic programmes, implemented based on Presidential Instruction Number 9 of 2025 concerning the Acceleration of the Establishment of Red and White Village/Sub-district Cooperatives. The regulation targets the accelerated establishment, development, and revitalisation of 80,000 cooperatives in stages across Indonesia. Ferry Juliantono said that around 30,000 Red and White cooperatives have now been formed. Meanwhile, the government is targeting a total of approximately 40,000 units by the end of this year at the latest.
