Prabowo to attend DPR plenary to discuss fiscal policy on Wednesday

Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto will attend the 19th Plenary Meeting of the DPR RI for the Fifth Session of the 2025-2026 Legislative Year at the parliamentary complex in Jakarta on Wednesday, 20 May. Deputy Speaker of the DPR RI Saan Mustopa, at the parliamentary complex in Jakarta on Tuesday, said the plenary meeting is scheduled to include the delivery of the Macro Economic Framework and the Main Policies of Fiscal Policy (KEM-PPKF). He said the KEM-PPKF and the State Budget Bill (RAPBN) for 2027 will be delivered directly by President Prabowo Subianto. ‘That is the plan. So, for the delivery of the macroeconomic framework, as well as the main fiscal policy, which will be delivered directly by the President,’ Saan said. He noted that this is the first time a President personally delivers it. In previous years, discussions on this matter were conveyed by the government through ministers. The DPR RI has also published the agenda for tomorrow’s plenary meeting. Here is the list of agendas: 1. Delivery of the Macro Economic Framework (KEM) and the Main Policies of Fiscal Policy (PPKF) for the 2027 fiscal year by the Government. 2. The DPR Legislative Body’s report on the Second Evaluation of the Prolegnas Priority Bills for 2026, followed by a decision. 3. The opinions of the Fractions on the Bill proposed by Commission III regarding amendments to Law No. 2 of 2002 on the Indonesian National Police, followed by a decision to become a DPR RI bill.
