Deputy Speaker of the DPR, Saan Mustopa, did not dispute reports that the DPR’s Fifth Session plenary meeting is scheduled to be attended by President Prabowo Subianto. ‘That is the plan,’ Saan said at the DPR, MPR, and DPD complex on Tuesday, 19 May 2026.

He said that at the plenary meeting the Head of State is scheduled to deliver the macroeconomic framework and the key fiscal policy directions, or KEM-PPKF. Saan added that the submission of the KEM-PPKF and the State Budget Bill for the 2027 fiscal year (RAPBN 2027) by Prabowo would mark the first time a president has delivered such a briefing directly to the DPR. In previous years, similar briefings were typically delivered by the government through the relevant ministers.

‘Is this the first time? Yes, as far as I know,’ the NasDem politician said.

Based on information obtained by Tempo, there will be three items on tomorrow’s plenary agenda. They are:

  1. The government’s presentation of the KEM-PPKF and the RAPBN for the 2027 fiscal year.

  2. The Legislative Body’s report on the Second Revision of the Prolegnas Priority Bill for 2026, followed by a vote.

  3. The opinions of factions on the Bill proposed by Commission III concerning amendments to Law No. 2 of 2002 on the Indonesian National Police, followed by a vote to adopt it as a DPR-proposed Bill.
