Prabowo Throws Shirt to Workers During May Day at Monas

Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto threw the safari outfit he was wearing to the workers present at the International Labour Day celebration in 2026 at Monas, Jakarta, on Friday. After delivering a speech accompanied by representatives from labour unions, President Prabowo greeted the officials present on the stage. He then walked to the edge of the stage and suddenly unbuttoned his shirt. The President then threw it towards the workers. Left with a plain black T-shirt and black trousers, President Prabowo left the stage. However, he took the time to greet and shake hands with the workers. Not only that, President Prabowo distributed several hats and T-shirts to liven up the celebration. After conversing with the workers, President Prabowo boarded a Maung vehicle and left Monas. This year’s International Labour Day or May Day commemoration adopted the theme “Collaboration Together to Realise Industrial Progress and Worker Welfare”. The total number of workers participating in the peak of the International Labour Day event in the Monas area was estimated to reach 200,000 people, with around 4,000 buses and 20,000 motorcycles.
