Prabowo: Threatening PKH Task Force is Threatening the President of Indonesia

President Prabowo Subianto has affirmed his support for the state finance recovery efforts undertaken by the Forest Area Regulation Task Force (Satgas PKH).

This was stated by President Prabowo at the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) in South Jakarta on Friday, 10 April 2026.

“On behalf of all the Indonesian people and on my own behalf, I want to express my thanks to you who work in the Satgas PKH,” said Prabowo.

The Head of State acknowledged that the performance of Satgas PKH in recovering state finances is not easy. Because, Prabowo said, Indonesia’s archipelagic geography poses challenges to field inspections.

“To inspect, to audit, to check in the field is not easy. For us, for the elites in Jakarta, in air-conditioned rooms, we can imagine how difficult the work of Satgas PKH is,” he explained.

On the other hand, Prabowo emphasised that he has a lot of information about threats and intimidation received by Satgas PKH while working.

Therefore, he assured that he stands behind Satgas PKH. Prabowo also claimed he would use all available authority to enforce the law without discrimination.

“I understand you, I understand because as a president, I have many eyes and ears; I know many Satgas PKH members are threatened, some are intimidated, and so on,” Prabowo concluded.

“If anyone threatens Satgas PKH, they are threatening the President of the Republic of Indonesia; if anyone obstructs Satgas PKH, they are obstructing the work of the President of the Republic of Indonesia,” he added.

On that occasion, Prabowo said that the total funds obtained from mafia seizures through the work of Satgas PKH and the Attorney General’s Office during his 18-month government amounted to Rp31.3 trillion.

“Thus, the total cash we have successfully saved to date is Rp31.3 trillion. This is a very large figure. If we have an idea, with this money we can repair 34,000 of our schools throughout Indonesia,” he added.
