Prabowo: The Younger Generation Will See in 10-20 Years What We Are Doing This Year

“Not now, not in 2029, you will evaluate what we are doing today in 20 years. What we are doing is fundamental,” he continued.

He said that a number of programs that are being implemented are steps to strengthen the national economy. These include, among others, food self-sufficiency, price stability, job creation, and strengthening the country’s sovereign wealth fund.

“We have achieved food self-sufficiency, we have secured prices, we have created jobs, millions, three, we now have a sovereign wealth fund. Our sovereign wealth fund is probably the sixth largest in the world,” he said.

Prabowo said that Indonesia currently also has a state asset management agency with assets under management of around $1 trillion. He said that Indonesia’s position is even now above Saudi Arabia and Singapore.

“The assets we manage now are $1 trillion, ladies and gentlemen. We are now, yes, 1, 2, 3, we are fifth. If we are here, we are the fifth largest in the world. It was only established in 2025,” he said.

“Abu Dhabi was established in 1976, China in 1997, CIC from China also in 2007, Norway in 1990. Norway is the largest. A very small country, with very large savings. We are even above Qatar, above Saudi Arabia, also above Singapore. So, this can also be our country,” he added. (amw/dhn)
