Prabowo Thanks the Red and White Cabinet

President Prabowo Subianto chaired a plenary cabinet meeting at Merdeka Palace in Central Jakarta on Wednesday (21 October 2026). In his address, Prabowo reflected on two years of his administration alongside Vice-President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

“The main purpose of this plenary meeting is, in fact, for me to express my thanks and appreciation to all members of the Red and White Cabinet,” he said.

Prabowo said the cabinet had worked hard in carrying out its duties for the nation and its people.

“You have given what you could, and done so with enthusiasm. You have delivered a performance that, in my assessment, is quite impressive. I would like to thank you for the unity and teamwork you have shown over these two years,” he said.

The chairman of the Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) also said an organisation’s success depended greatly on teamwork.

“Rather than having many outstanding and brilliant people who cannot work together, it is better to have ordinary people who can work well together. That is a lesson from thousands of years of human civilisation,” Prabowo said.

He said he was confident that Indonesia, with a population of 300 million, would produce its finest sons and daughters.

“Through a natural process, you were selected by circumstances, selected by nature. Those of you before me are, in fact, Indonesia’s finest sons and daughters,” Prabowo said.
