Prabowo Thanks Police Chief for Ongoing Organisational Reforms
President Prabowo Subianto conveyed his appreciation to National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo during the 80th Bhayangkara Day commemoration. Prabowo highlighted the police force’s continuous efforts to reform and improve professionalism. “I would like to thank the National Police Chief and all his ranks who continue to carry out organisational reforms, improve professionalism, enhance discipline, strengthen public services, and build synergy with all components of the nation,” Prabowo said at the Brimob Polri Training Centre in Cikeas, Bogor, West Java, on Wednesday (30/6/2026). Prabowo urged the police to uphold their honour and protect the nation and people of Indonesia. “Uphold the honour of the Indonesian National Police and, most importantly, safeguard the nation and people of Indonesia,” Prabowo stated. “Long live the 80th anniversary of the Indonesian National Police. Polri for the community, Polri Presisi for an advanced Indonesia, always with the people, always protecting Indonesia. Polri at the forefront as the guardian of the Indonesian nation,” he added. Prabowo was accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka at the event. The 80th Bhayangkara Day ceremony was also attended by Indonesian Military Commander General Agus Subiyanto, members of the Red and White Cabinet, former National Police chiefs, ambassadors from friendly nations, police attachés, and leaders of community and religious organisations.
