Prabowo Tells NTB Regional Leaders: Avoid Greed, It Is the Most Evil Sin

President Prabowo Subianto has called on regional leaders in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) to govern with wisdom and prudence. He urged governors and regents to lead with a genuine love for the people. “I entrust NTB to you, the leaders, governors, and regents. Lead with wisdom and goodness. Lead with love for the people. The foundation is this: love your people, take care of your people,” Prabowo said during a speech at the inauguration of a dam in West Lombok, NTB, on Friday (10/7/2026). Prabowo advised the leaders to apply common sense in their policies. He reminded them to avoid any intention of enriching themselves. “Use policies based on common sense. Avoid the intention of becoming rich on the suffering of the common people. Avoid, stay away from such thoughts. That is the most evil sin,” he stated. “Do not forget, leaders are here to serve the people, not to make the people’s lives more difficult,” Prabowo continued.
