Prabowo Tells HIPMI Members: Don't Misbehave, I Know All Your Antics!

President Prabowo Subianto has stated that he feels a strong rapport with the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI). He even claimed to be personally acquainted with nearly all of its members. He made the remarks whilst opening the XVIII HIPMI National Conference in Bandarlampung, Lampung, on Wednesday, 10 June 2026. “It seems I have always been quite compatible with HIPMI,” Prabowo said in his speech. “Because I know all of HIPMI’s leading figures, nearly all of them,” he continued. In a light-hearted manner, Prabowo also said he is fully aware of the behaviour of HIPMI’s members and leaders. He advised them not to engage in any misbehaviour. “Because I know almost all of HIPMI’s leading figures, I am already familiar with all of their behaviour. So don’t try anything, I know all your antics and even your mannerisms,” he stated. On the occasion, Prabowo also highlighted the number eight, which he believes is consistently associated with him. He arrived at the number eight by adding up the digits of the date during the conference’s opening. “2026 adds up to 10. Oh, yes, okay. No, 10. Yes, that’s right, 10, one plus six equals seven, seven plus ten equals 17. One plus seven equals eight. That is why the number eight is always attached to me,” he concluded.
