Prabowo: Technology can now track the assets of corrupt officials
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto reminded officials who hide wealth from corruption that technological developments can be used to trace hidden assets.
In delivering the Macro Economic Framework and the Macro Policy Fiscal Key Points (KEM-PPKF) for the 19th Plenary Session of the DPR RI, Session V, for the 2025-2026 Session at the parliamentary complex in Jakarta on Wednesday, Prabowo emphasised that all government institutions must eradicate corruption and abuse of power.
“I am saddened that there are still officials who try to corrupt. They should be quickly exposed. Now there is technology, there is radar; we can see underground,” Prabowo said.
According to Prabowo, satellite technology today is capable of photographing forest area conditions down to the level of individual trees.
“We can photograph every tree. So whatever way you try to deceive, it will be found,” he said.
Therefore, he urged the public to report suspected violations by using mobile phone cameras to record evidence.
Earlier, Prabowo delivered the KEM-PPKF RAPBN 2027 directly in the DPR RI Plenary Session. He became the first president to deliver the RAPBN preface, including the macroeconomic framework and the fiscal policy guidelines, in the presence of DPR RI members.
The plenary session was attended by 451 DPR RI members and chaired by DPR RI Speaker Puan Maharani.
