Prabowo Targets IDR 16,800-17,500 per Dollar in 2027 State Budget Blueprint
President Prabowo Subianto has presented the macroeconomic assumptions in his speech delivering the Macroeconomic Framework and Fiscal Policy Main Points (KEM-PPKF) for the 2027 Fiscal Year during a Plenary Session on Wednesday (20/05/2026). In his address, Prabowo set the rupiah exchange rate target at a level of IDR 16,800 - IDTR 17,500 per US dollar for 2027. These assumptions within the KEM-PPKF will serve as the blueprint for the 2027 Draft State Budget (RAPBN).
“We will maintain our exchange rate at IDR 16,800 - IDR 17,500 per US dollar. Fiscal and monetary strategies must be capable of keeping our exchange rate stable against global currencies,” he asserted.
Furthermore, the blueprint outlines several other macroeconomic assumptions, including inflation at 1.5%-3.5%, Indonesian GDP growth at 5.8%-6.5%, and 10-year sovereign bond (SBN) interest rates at 6.5%-7.3%. Additionally, the plan targets oil lifting of 602,000 - 615,000 barrels per day, gas production of 934,000 - 977,000 barrels of gas equivalent per day, and an Indonesian Crude Price (ICP) of US$ 70-95 per barrel.
