Prabowo Targets 6% Economic Growth in 2027

President Prabowo Subianto is targeting Indonesia’s economic growth to reach 6% in 2027. He has set this growth target in the macro assumptions of the 2027 Draft State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (RAPBN). “Economic growth in 2027 is targeted to reach 6%, higher than the 2026 State Budget target of 5.4%,” Prabowo said in a state address regarding the submission of the 2027 State Budget Bill at the DPR/MPR Building, Jakarta, Friday (14/8/2026). Prabowo confirmed that this higher growth target will be maintained with inflationary pressure of only 2.5%. He also confirmed that the state budget, as one of the main drivers of growth, will keep its deficit at a low level of 2.4% of GDP, with a value of Rp 671.2 trillion.
