Prabowo Surprises Cabinet Secretary Teddy with Birthday Celebration in Paris

President Prabowo Subianto gave a surprise 37th birthday celebration to Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya during an official visit to Paris, France, on Tuesday, 14 April 2026. The moment unfolded simply with a candle-blowing session and birthday cake-cutting that had been prepared. A warm atmosphere was evident as President Prabowo smiled, clapped lightly, and hummed during the celebration. In a video uploaded to the Instagram account @nowdots, the President could be heard singing “cut the cake” while watching Teddy blow out the candles. Afterwards, Teddy gave the first slice of cake to the President as a gesture of respect. This birthday celebration was also briefly shared by presidential staff via the Instagram account @agung_surahman, showing the surprise atmosphere with a cake inscribed with birthday wishes for Cabinet Secretary Teddy. Lieutenant Colonel Teddy Indra Wijaya is a 2011 Military Academy graduate. He previously served as an aide to President Joko Widodo from 2014 to 2019, before accompanying Prabowo since his tenure as Minister of Defence. As an active Kopassus officer, Teddy holds several qualifications, including US Army Ranger status and the International Honor Graduate predicate in the United States. This experience forms part of his military career background before assuming the role of Cabinet Secretary.
