Prabowo Surprised to Have Resolved 121 Issues in Less Than Two Years

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto admitted to being surprised that approximately 121 issues have been resolved within roughly 21 months of his leadership.

“We were also surprised; when I was reported to by my staff, they said, ‘Sir, we have worked for less than two years—if I am not mistaken, it was 21 months—and look, we have already resolved 121 problems’,” Prabowo stated during the ‘President Prabowo Menjawab’ programme on Friday (18/9).

He stated that he and his team are working for the interests of the wider public. According to him, Indonesia’s natural wealth must be felt by all Indonesian people without exception.

Prabowo cited the leakage of Indonesia’s natural wealth over many decades as one of his primary concerns.

Furthermore, he is targeting the closure of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) that are deemed ineffective and fail to provide a positive impact to the general public.

He admitted to feeling saddened by these conditions and promised to rectify them.

“And by December, at least 750 [SOEs will be closed], at a minimum,” he added.
