Prabowo Summons Police Chief to Hambalang, What Was Discussed?

President Prabowo Subianto summoned the Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Kapolri) General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to his private residence in Hambalang, Bogor Regency, West Java, on Friday, 24 April 2026.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that the meeting, which lasted approximately one hour, discussed several issues related to national security as well as the general national situation in various sectors.

He said Listyo also reported on the progress of several strategic police programmes, including strengthening the digital transformation of public services and improving the professionalism of members from recruitment to service.

“And efforts to maintain public security and order sustainably by involving all elements of society,” Teddy said in an official statement from the Presidential Secretariat on Friday, 24 April 2026.

Prabowo and Listyo also discussed strengthening synergy between the police and various related institutions and sectors in supporting national programmes. “Both in the agriculture, food, nutritious meals, rapid disaster handling, and improving public services,” said Teddy.
