President Prabowo Subianto held a meeting with National Economic Council (DEN) Chairman Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan and DEN members on Wednesday, 11 March 2026. The meeting discussed global economic developments.

The meeting was also attended by Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, Investment Minister and BKPM Head Rosan Roeslani, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

“President Prabowo received the Chairman and members of the National Economic Council along with several relevant ministers to discuss global economic developments, including the potential impact of Middle East conflict escalation on the world economy and Indonesia, in Jakarta, Wednesday, 11 March 2026,” said Teddy, citing an official statement on Thursday, 12 March 2026.

According to Teddy, the meeting conveyed that the national energy supply situation remains secure. The government will continue to work to maintain the availability of domestic fuel oil and gas to meet domestic needs.

Additionally, the government will also prepare mitigation measures against the impact of global oil prices on the state budget to keep them under control.

“In the meeting, it was conveyed that domestic fuel oil and gas supplies are in adequate condition. The government will continue to monitor global energy price developments and prepare mitigation measures to keep their impact on the state budget under control,” he said.

Beyond energy stability, President Prabowo also emphasised the importance of strategic measures to strengthen national economic resilience. Teddy noted that one of the focuses conveyed by President Prabowo was accelerating the energy self-sufficiency programme as an effort to reduce dependence on global energy supplies.

“The President also emphasised the importance of accelerating energy self-sufficiency and strengthening government digitalisation, including through pilot digitalisation of social assistance distribution, to improve efficiency in state spending,” said Teddy.

Furthermore, according to Teddy, the President also asked all government officials to continue increasing vigilance against developing global dynamics. Anticipation and policy readiness are considered important to ensure that national economic stability remains secure amid global uncertainty.

“The President asked all government officials to continue anticipating global situation developments and to ensure that national economic stability remains secure,” he said.
