Prabowo Summons Higher Education, Science and Technology Minister to Garuda CEO to the Palace

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - President Prabowo held a limited meeting with several ministers and other officials at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Monday afternoon (4/5/2026). Based on observations by Kompas.com, some of the officials seen arriving at the Palace included Garuda Indonesia CEO Glenny H. Kairupan, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology Brian Yuliarto, and Deputy Minister of Defence Marsekal TNI (Ret.) Donny Ermawan. Upon arriving at the location, Glenny stated that he had come directly to the Palace after attending a meeting with Danantara. He further assured that Hajj travel flights are running smoothly. “Hajj is smooth. All Hajj travel is going well,” Glenny said when asked by the media. Meanwhile, the other officials who arrived provided no statements, including Minister Brian. “Not sure yet, not sure yet (what the meeting is about),” Brian said briefly.
