Prabowo summons health minister after Luhut and Chatib Basri
Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto continued his series of meetings by summoning Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin to the Indonesian Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday, following the arrival of the Chairman of the National Economic Council, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, and senior economist Chatib Basri.
Budi Gunadi Sadikin arrived at the Presidential Palace at approximately 5:00 PM WIB, after President Prabowo had received credentials from nine ambassadors from friendly nations.
Despite the arrival, the Health Minister declined to comment when questioned regarding the specific agenda of his meeting with the President. Budi Gunadi merely greeted journalists while walking briskly towards the building.
“Hello,” the Health Minister said to the journalists. “Stay healthy, everyone,” he added before entering the room.
Budi Gunadi Sadikin, who has a professional background leading one of the state-owned banks (Himbara) and several State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), and previously served as the Deputy Minister of SOEs, visited the Presidential Palace amidst widespread rumours of a reshuffle within the Red and White Cabinet, particularly concerning the position of Finance Minister, currently held by Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa.
At Istana Merdeka today, in addition to receiving the Chairman of the NEC, Chatib Basri, and the Health Minister, President Prabowo previously received credentials from nine ambassadors, namely: the Ambassador of Guatemala to Indonesia Manuel Estuardo Roldan Barillas, the Ambassador of Qatar to Indonesia Sultan bin Mubarak Saad Al-Dosari, the Ambassador of Kenya to Indonesia Abdirashid Salat Abdile, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Fiji to Indonesia Ratu Isoa Delamisi Tikoca.
Also present were the Ambassadors of Morocco to Indonesia Redouane Houssaini, Portugal to Indonesia Maria Gabriela Vieira Soares de Albergaria, Panama to Indonesia Bernardo Brea Rodriguez, North Korea to Indonesia Hong Kwang Il, and Mozambique to Indonesia Antonio Rodrigues Jose.
Furthermore, at Istana Merdeka today, President Prabowo also held a limited meeting with Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Commander of the TNI General Agus Subiyanto, Deputy Commander of the TNI General Tandyo Budi Revita, and other high-ranking TNI officials.
