Prabowo Summons Hajj Oversight Team and Ministers to Hambalang

President Prabowo Subianto summoned the Hajj Oversight Team and several ministers from the Red and White Cabinet to his residence in Hambalang, West Java, on Wednesday (17/6).

Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi stated that the President was fulfilling a request from Commission VIII, the Hajj Oversight Team, and the Ministry of Hajj to report on the implementation of the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage. One of the ministers called was Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto.

Prasetyo mentioned that part of the discussion concerned preparations for developing Indonesia’s human resources. He noted ongoing education and training processes, as well as updates on cooperation related to technology and critical minerals or rare earth elements previously discussed.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Hajj Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, who was also present, said his attendance was to report on the ongoing Hajj operations. He stated that President Prabowo is paying full attention to Hajj services for Indonesian pilgrims, adding that approximately 20 improvement points have been implemented and will be presented to the President.
