Prabowo Summons Economic Ministers to Hambalang
PRESIDENT Prabowo Subianto summoned a number of economic ministers to his private residence in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java, on Sunday afternoon, 15 February 2026. The information was conveyed by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya through the official Instagram account @sekretariat.kabinet.
In the post, those seen in attendance included Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Investment and Downstream Industries Minister Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, and State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi. They were seen seated at a round table.
According to Teddy, the Head of State emphasized several points during the meeting. Among them, Teddy said, was ensuring that the position Indonesia takes in every economic negotiation with any party—particularly in the near term with the United States—brings the greatest benefit to Indonesia.
“The President wants negotiations to maximize the productivity of domestic industry and strengthen the global supply chain,” wrote Teddy in the caption of his Instagram post on Sunday, 15 February 2026.
Teddy stated that Prabowo also instructed that every policy adopted must immediately and as much as possible deliver concrete benefits for Indonesia.
Prabowo Subianto is reportedly set to sign a reciprocal trade tariff agreement between Indonesia and the United States in the near future. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said the Head of State plans to attend an event in the US on 19 February 2026.
The Presidential Palace had previously confirmed that Prabowo received an invitation to the inaugural meeting of the Board of Peace, an initiative of US President Donald John Trump, on 19 February.
“The President plans to attend the event on the 19th, and around that date there will also be plans to sign an ART, or Agreement on Reciprocal Tariff,” said Airlangga after a limited cabinet meeting at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday afternoon, 11 February 2026.
