Prabowo Summons Coordinating Minister Muhaimin to the Palace
President Prabowo Subianto summoned Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Muhaimin Iskandar, also known as Cak Imin, to the Presidential Palace in Jakarta. Muhaimin arrived to fulfil the summons on Tuesday, 12 May 2026.
According to Muhaimin, he would report on his work during his time in the cabinet to Prabowo. “Today, I will report on all my responsibilities as Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment,” said the Chairman General of the National Awakening Party upon arriving at the Presidential Palace.
Muhaimin conveyed several projects that he would discuss with the President. Among them are empowerment programmes, poverty alleviation efforts, targets for job creation, and increasing the productivity of micro, small, and medium enterprises or UMKM.
This former Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives stated that his ministry continues to undertake various efforts to keep the community’s economy vibrant. Some of its programmes include establishing 1,001 people’s market points for UMKM actors, training subsidies, and promoting more affordable access to funding.
Muhaimin also wished to report on the SMK Go Global programme. This policy, initiated by his ministry, is a programme to facilitate SMK graduates in working abroad.
Muhaimin hopes that SMK Go Global participants will be sent abroad, from America, Europe, the Middle East, Korea, to Japan. “SMK Go Global continues to increase the number of departures every day, with accompaniment, assistance, training, and targets, especially SMK graduates in Decile 1. Decile 1, the poorest areas,” he said.
The day before summoning Muhaimin, President Prabowo also received a report from another coordinating minister, Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, also known as AHY.
To Prabowo, Agus reported on the progress of several priority programmes from Prabowo, such as the three million housing programme and post-disaster rehabilitation. Agus shared the moment of the virtual meeting through his Instagram account @agusyudhoyono.
