Prabowo Summons Cak Imin to the Palace, Discusses UMKM Capital to Job Opportunities

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) was summoned by President Prabowo Subianto to the State Palace on Tuesday (12/5/2026) at 14:30 WIB. The meeting concerned a report on the programmes that have already been implemented.

“Today, I will report on all my responsibilities as Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment, starting from addressing poverty, empowerment programmes, and targets for job creation and increasing UMKM productivity,” said Cak Imin to reporters.

Cak Imin explained that his side continues to create community empowerment activities, such as people’s markets at 1,001 locations. In addition, subsidies are provided in the fields of training and access to capital for UMKM.

“Alhamdulillah, KUR continues to increase and we will continue to enhance KUR for our UMKM. Tomorrow morning, 1,000 UMKM will receive KUR in Bali,” said Cak Imin.

Regarding the SMK Go Global programme, according to Cak Imin, the number of participants continues to grow every day. Especially for SMK graduates in Decile 1 or the poorest areas.

The target is to achieve 500,000 placements as migrant workers until 2029. The destination areas include Europe, the United States, South Korea, the Middle East, Japan, and others.
