Prabowo summons Burhanuddin Abdullah and Rosan to the Palace, What's Going On?

Detikcom observed on Friday (22 May 2026) that the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto arrived at 14:08 WIB. Then, the Investment Minister and CEO of Danantara Rosan P. Roeslani and Burhanuddin Abdullah arrived at the Istana at 14:10 WIB.

‘We’ll see what the agenda is,’ Airlangga said as he walked into the Istana precinct.

Meanwhile, Rosan briefly explained the reason Luke Thomas Mahony is planned to lead PT Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia (DSI). Rosan cited Luke’s track record, adding that he understands well and previously worked at Vale, a multinational company, and can speak Indonesian.

Rosan said Luke has experience in equities and the mineral industry. Moreover, he added, Luke is believed to have a wide network. ‘Indeed his wife is Indonesian, but the most important thing is to look at his trading experience and his involvement in mining. So he would lead many mineral companies, and his networking is good, and what is most important is that we have seen his work at Danantara has been very, very good,’ he said.
