Prabowo Summons Bahlil to Purbaya, Wants Waste Managed into Energy Soon

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto summoned several ministers from the Merah Putih Cabinet to his private residence in Hambalang, West Java, on Wednesday (25/3/2026). During the meeting, Prabowo expressed his desire for waste to be promptly managed and converted into energy. “President Prabowo received the Head of Danantara as well as Investment Minister Mr Rosan Roeslani along with several other Merah Putih Cabinet ministers at the Hambalang residence on Wednesday, 25 March 2026,” stated Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya on the Cabinet Secretariat’s Instagram account on Wednesday evening. This particularly concerns waste in densely populated major cities such as DKI Jakarta, Tangerang, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya, Medan, and Bali. Teddy noted that Prabowo wants unmanaged waste to be utilised for something beneficial. Attendees at the meeting included Rosan, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, and Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Brian Yuliarto.
