Prabowo Summons Airlangga, Rosan, and Purbaya to the Palace to Discuss Efficiency

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - President Prabowo Subianto summoned several ministers from the Merah Putih Cabinet to the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Thursday afternoon (19/3/2026).

The attending ministers included Investment Minister/CEO of Danantara Rosan Roeslani, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, and Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa.

Coordinating Minister Airlangga revealed that he was called by President Prabowo. However, he has not yet disclosed the details of the meeting’s agenda.

“Yesterday, we already held a coordination meeting regarding efficiency; that is one of the things to be reported,” said Airlangga at the Palace complex in Jakarta on Thursday (19/3/2026).

He stated that several matters to be reported include plans for efficiency in ministries and institutions (K/L).

“We just discussed K/L efficiency,” he said.

In addition, he mentioned that plans for work from home (WFH) for civil servants (ASN) will also be reported.

“That (WFH for ASN) is something we have already calculated,” he said.

Separately, Purbaya admitted that he does not yet know the content of the discussions inside the Palace. Furthermore, Purbaya said he would report on the state budget (APBN) condition.

“Yes, we anticipate how much subsidies, what the APBN condition is like. That needs to be anticipated. But I don’t know the details of the meeting; I’ll let you know after the meeting,” said Purbaya.
