Prabowo Summons Airlangga and Purbaya to the Palace Amid WFH Discussions

President of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto summoned Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto and Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa to the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Friday (27/3). Observations by CNNIndonesia.com noted that both arrived just before 1:00 PM WIB, with Airlangga arriving first, followed shortly by Purbaya. However, both remained tight-lipped about the topics to be discussed with Prabowo. “Not yet known,” Airlangga said. Their visit to the Palace comes amid discussions on implementing a work-from-home (WFH) system following the conflict in the Middle East. Currently, the government is formulating a policy on this matter. Separately, Purbaya stated that the policy has been decided and will soon be announced to the public. However, the official announcement is still awaiting instructions from President Prabowo Subianto and will be delivered by Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto. Purbaya noted that the WFH decision is already final at the government level, but he will not be the one to announce it. “It has been decided, it will be announced later, it’s not me who will speak, not me (who will announce it), it will be the Coordinating Minister for the Economy,” Purbaya said at the Ministry of Finance in Central Jakarta on Wednesday (25/3).
