Prabowo Suddenly Talks About 'Uninvited Guests': They Come to Trade but End Up Robbing

President Prabowo Subianto has highlighted the issue of numerous ‘guests’ entering Indonesia without an invitation, only to end up committing robbery. Speaking at the peak of the 79th National Cooperative Day commemoration in 2026, he noted that many countries envy Indonesia. The Indonesian people, Prabowo said, are too kind and naive. He described how the nation often welcomes ‘guests’ so warmly that it strives to do its best for them, even borrowing sugar and coffee from neighbours when it has none to offer. Unfortunately, this hospitality is not reciprocated. According to Prabowo, many of these guests arrive uninvited and proceed to rob Indonesia. He remarked that some guests are shameless, arriving uninvited claiming to want to trade, but eventually resorting to robbery. On the occasion, Prabowo stated that Indonesia is a very wealthy nation, but its riches are being stolen and taken abroad. He affirmed his determination to lead the government, assisted by his cabinet, to work hard with grand ideas, not small ones.
