Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, announced that President Prabowo Subianto has submitted a presidential letter containing the names of candidates for the board of commissioners of the Financial Services Authority (OJK). Following this, a fit and proper test will be conducted at the House of Representatives.

“The leadership of the House has received a letter from the President of the Republic of Indonesia number R-09 dated 9 March 2026 regarding candidates for the board of commissioners of the Financial Services Authority or OJK,” said Puan during a plenary session at the House of Representatives building in Jakarta on Tuesday (10/3/2026).

Puan stated that, based on the provisions of article 256 paragraph 2 of the House of Representatives’ standing orders, the House leadership needs to request the approval of parliamentary factions regarding the discussion of OJK commissioner candidates to be assigned to Commission XI of the House of Representatives.

Puan’s request for approval was unanimously agreed upon by all factions present at today’s plenary session agenda.

“We also request the approval of parliamentary factions regarding the Commission XI report on the fit and proper test assessment of OJK commissioner candidates, to be followed by a decision-making process scheduled at the plenary session on Thursday, 12 March 2026,” said Puan, with plenary participants responding in agreement.

As previously announced, the Selection Committee for OJK Board of Commissioners Replacement Candidates announced 20 names that passed the administrative selection on Wednesday (4/3/2026), including essay assessment.
