Prabowo Stresses Collaboration for Young Civil Servants

President Prabowo Subianto has emphasised to 1,204 young civil servants graduating from the Institute of Home Affairs Governance (IPDN) Class XXXIII the importance of building strong relationships with all elements of society and government. Speaking at the IPDN campus in Jatinangor, Sumedang Regency, West Java, on Wednesday, President Prabowo stated that civil servants never work alone, making the ability to collaborate the key to success in carrying out their duties.

“When you serve later, you will not work alone. You are part of a large national team. You will work together with the TNI, the National Police, the Attorney General’s Office, regional governments, and all elements of government and society,” President Prabowo said, as monitored via the Presidential Secretariat broadcast in Jakarta on Wednesday.

He urged the young civil servants to be sociable and maintain good relations with various groups, ranging from religious leaders, business actors, and community figures to traditional leaders. President Prabowo also reminded the young civil servants not to become arrogant leaders. “Build cooperation. Cooperation is the key to success. You must respect each other, support each other, and strengthen each other,” he said.

Furthermore, President Prabowo stated that the young civil servants are the next generation being prepared to safeguard the continuity of the Republic of Indonesia in the future. According to him, even the best government policies and programmes will not yield results if they are not implemented effectively by the state apparatus. “The greatest ideas, the greatest plans, the best policies, if not executed on the ground, those great ideas will fail. The best plans will not be achieved,” the President added.
