President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, held a bilateral meeting with the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, at the Basman Palace, Amman. Prabowo expressed his concern regarding the situation in Gaza and the West Bank.

“So, thank you very much, Your Majesty, for the good offer of support for our contingent. We hope to establish close coordination and cooperation, because you are closest to the problems in Gaza,” said President Prabowo, in a statement, Wednesday (25/2/2026).

Furthermore, Prabowo also conveyed Indonesia’s deep concern regarding the developments in the West Bank, which are considered to potentially affect the success of various stabilization and humanitarian efforts in Gaza.

“We are very concerned about the problems in the West Bank. We believe that this can affect the success of whatever we are trying to do in Gaza,” added the Head of State.

In addition, Prabowo said that Indonesia and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan have similar views with other countries in the region in encouraging regional stability and conflict resolution. For this reason, he emphasized the importance of increasing coordination between the two countries so that they can understand the situation comprehensively and respond to developments quickly and appropriately.

“Therefore, we want to strengthen and improve this cooperation. I think my team will work very closely with your team so that we are always in a position to understand the situation comprehensively. We know exactly what will happen,” concluded President Prabowo.
