Prabowo: State Budget Is a Tool for Indonesia's Struggle to Prosper the People

President Prabowo Subianto considers the state budget (APBN) to be a tool of struggle for the government to prosper the people. He stated that this tool for prospering the people must continue to function, even though independence has been achieved. For Prabowo, independence is not merely about the flying of the red and white flag. “Independence must be felt at our people’s dining tables, independence must be felt in our children’s classrooms, felt in community health centres and hospitals, and in the future of Indonesian families. That is why the APBN is a tool of struggle,” Prabowo asserted during a speech at the Parliament Building in Jakarta on Friday (14/8/2026). With this principle, Prabowo said the government will continue to ensure that every rupiah collected and spent by the state provides maximum benefit for the community. “Every rupiah collected must become real hope for our people,” Prabowo explained.
