JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, extended greetings for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah/2026 CE. The Head of State expressed gratitude for being able to celebrate Eid al-Fitr again this year. “Alhamdulillah, we have reached this Eid al-Fitr. I offer my sincere apologies, minal aidzin wal faizin,” said Prabowo after performing Eid prayers at Masjid Darussalam in Aceh Tamiang, Aceh, on Saturday (21/3/2026), quoted from Kompas TV. Furthermore, Prabowo hoped that the coming year would proceed even better than this one. “May the coming year be a good one for us all,” Prabowo added. Prabowo performed the Eid prayers wearing a long-sleeved white shirt and a black peci cap. After the prayers, President Prabowo Subianto mingled with the residents of Aceh Tamiang at the same mosque. From the Cabinet Secretariat’s YouTube, Prabowo was accompanied by Aceh Governor Muzakir Manaf during the halal bihalal gathering with local residents. One by one, Prabowo shook hands with the residents, including mothers, fathers, and children. After shaking hands with several residents, Prabowo then walked to the front area to symbolically distribute food aid packages to the residents. Subsequently, Prabowo continued to tour and greet the Acehnese residents outside the mosque. The residents were very enthusiastic to see President Prabowo.
