President Prabowo Subianto has signed a presidential decree appointing several officials within the Attorney General’s Office. Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi stated that the decree was signed by Prabowo following a proposal from Attorney General ST Burhanuddin. “President Prabowo has signed the presidential decree in accordance with the results of the final assessment team, referring to the proposal from the Attorney General, which we administratively followed up on today,” he told reporters on Wednesday (22/7). Prasetyo said that under the decree, Asep Nana Mulyana has been appointed as Deputy Attorney General. With this appointment, Asep will leave his position as Junior Attorney General for General Crimes (Jampidum). This position will subsequently be filled by Leonard Eben Ezer Simanjuntak, who previously served as Head of the Attorney General’s Office Training and Education Agency. Leonard’s position will then be taken over by Inspector III at the Junior Attorney General for Supervision, Harli Siregar. “Then Kuntadi as Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes,” he said. Through this appointment, Kuntadi will leave his position as Head of the Asset Recovery Agency (BPA) to fill the post left by Febrie Adriansyah following his implication in a corruption case. In the decree, Prabowo also approved the appointment of the Head of the Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office, Patris Yusrian Jaya, as the new Head of the BPA.
