Prabowo Signs Ojol Presidential Regulation, Applicator Cuts Capped at Maximum 8 Percent!

JAKARTA - In the Presidential Regulation on online motorcycle taxi drivers, alias ojol, signed by Prabowo Subianto, the applicator cut for ojol is a maximum of 8 percent.

“Also, the revenue sharing, previously 80 percent for drivers, is now a minimum of 92 percent for drivers,” said Prabowo while explaining the Presidential Regulation at Monas field on Friday (1/5/2026).

The crowd of workers cheered upon hearing the news from Prabowo.

“They must be given work accident guarantees, BPJS Health will be provided, health insurance,” said Prabowo.

A few minutes earlier at the same podium, Prabowo also emphasised that the applicator cut on ojol income must not exceed 10 percent.

“Brothers and sisters, ojol. Ojol work hard, ojol risk their lives every day, ojol applicator companies demand 20 percent deposit. How about ojol, agree to 20 percent,” asked Prabowo.

The question was immediately answered with a unanimous shout of “no” by the workers.

“How about 15 percent,” asked Prabowo. “No,” replied the workers.

“How much? 10 (percent)? You want 10 percent? Yes?,” asked Prabowo again.

However, in a surprising statement, the President said that the cut must be below 10 percent.

“I say here, I do not agree with 10 percent,” said Prabowo.

“It must be below 10 percent,” continued Prabowo, greeted with cheers from the crowd.
