Prabowo Shares Free Nutritious Meal with Parents and Students in Bali
A unique moment occurred during President Prabowo Subianto’s inspection of the Sekolah Rakyat Menengah Pertama (SRMP) 17 Tabanan in Bali. President Prabowo shared lunch, consisting of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) package, alongside parents and students at the site.
On Sunday (7/6/202<0xC2>6), following his address to the parents of prospective students, the President proceeded to the dining area located behind the school. Accompanied by Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf and the Head of SRMP 17, I Putu Jaya Negara, the President joined the group as a student led the group in prayer before the meal began.
Seated at a long table amongst parents and students, the President enjoyed a menu of white rice, fried chicken, seasoned tempeh, and eggs. Throughout the meal, President Prabowo engaged in dialogue with the attendees, fostering a warm atmosphere within the educational setting.
Earlier, during his briefing, President Prabowo expressed his satisfaction with the development of the Sekolah Rakyat programme, noting that it has been met with great enthusiasm from the public. “I am delighted to see the progress of Sekolah Rakyat; however, much work remains as the demand for these schools is clearly very high,” the President stated.
In 2025, SRMP 17 had 74 students hailing from Tabanan, Denpasar, Badung, and Buleleng, supported by 11 teachers and 17 educational staff members. This year, the school’s reach has expanded to include over 400 new students, with enrolment ongoing as the new academic year approaches.
