Prabowo Shakes Hands with Residents of Aceh Tamiang After Eid Prayer at Darussalam Mosque

President Prabowo Subianto shook hands with residents of Aceh Tamiang following Eid al-Fitr prayers for 1447 Hijriah at Darussalam Mosque in Aceh Tamiang Regency, Aceh, on Saturday, 21 March 2026. The President, accompanied by Interior Minister Tito Karnavian, stood inside the mosque as worshippers took turns greeting him in the traditional Lebaran silaturahmi manner. Residents formed a long queue extending outside the mosque to personally shake hands with the President. Afterwards, Prabowo exited the mosque and continued greeting those outside, distributing essential food packages to the community before speaking to journalists. Earlier, President Prabowo performed the Eid al-Fitr prayer with locals at Darussalam Mosque. He arrived at the site around 07:20 WIB, dressed in a white koko shirt, black trousers, and a black peci. Prabowo entered the mosque and took a position in the front row, accompanied by several state officials including Interior Minister Tito Karnavian. The Eid prayer, which began at 07:30 WIB, was led by Tengku Junaidi, the imam of Darussalam Mosque, and attended by around 1,300 worshippers.
