Prabowo: Several Countries Are Mocking Indonesia

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — President Prabowo Subianto said that several countries are currently mocking Indonesia. He made the remark while addressing the 2026 National Coordination Meeting of the Regional Financial Access Acceleration Team (TPAKD) at the JIEXPO Convention Centre on Thursday (22 October 2026).

He made the statement while discussing forest fires in Indonesia. In his view, there are indications that foreign companies were involved and responsible.

“Some countries are mocking us, insulting us and so on … even though many of those responsible are their companies operating here,” Prabowo said.

He promised that he would soon announce the names of the foreign companies. He also said he would revoke the business permits of anyone who breached the rules.

“When the time comes, we will announce the names of those [companies],” he stressed.

“Whoever breaks the rules, just revoke their permits. I have no hesitation; I will revoke them,” Prabowo added.
